Before I ever wrote a deal review for someone else, I was the one buying the homes, picking the paint, hauling in the furniture, and answering the 11 p.m. guest messages myself. Over the years, I personally owned, renovated, designed, and managed sixteen short-term rentals of my own. Every mistake you’re worried about making? Along the way, friends started asking me to walk through listings with them. A few of them bought their first STR off that conversation. I helped them set the home up, dial in the pricing, and get those first guests through the door — and watched them fall in love with the same thing I had. That’s when it clicked: the next chapter for me is helping more people live the STR dream, not just live it myself.
